CBRE Russia strengthens Capital Markets team with new appointment (RU)

CBRE announces the appointment of Ivan Gubochkin as Managing Director in the Capital Markets Department. Gubochkin will oversee the company's Capital Markets businesses in Russia as well as will provide general strategic advice and support for the further development of CBRE's business in Russia.

Gubochkin will report to Alexander Polenok, Managing Director of CBRE in Russia.

Ivan Gubochkin has been working for over 12 years in financial and management advisory and investment banking. His professional experience has been associated with work in the largest multinational companies – AT Kearney, KPMG, ING, Troika Dialog. During this time Gubochkin took part in different projects in such market sectors as metals and mining, real estate, machinery building and materials processing, telecommunications, food and retail, oil & gas and banking.

For the past seven years Gubochkin has worked in the Investment Banking department at Troika-Dialog, a leading Russian investment bank, where since the beginning 2011 he worked as a Director at Metals&Mining Group. He managed the work of Troika's bankers engaged in international IPOs of Belon and KTK coal miners, was involved in the HKSE IPO of Rusal, was responsible for the preparation of LSE IPO of Yuzhkuzbassugol, was engaged in disposal of Belon to MMK, acquisitions for Zarechnaya Coal and large diversified miners in Russia.

Gubochkin successfully completed two IPOs of real estate companies in Russia – Open Investments in 2004 and World Trade Centre in 2006, one of the first public deals in this sector.

Gubochkin graduated with honors from Chelyabinsk State Technical University, Economics and Management faculty. He received further education from CFA Institute, NY, US and Federal Service for Financial Markets (FSFM) with license of qualified specialist of financial markets for securities brokerage, dealership and management.
