CBRE appoints first head of retail rating (EU)

CBRE today announced that Tim Attridge has been appointed as its first Head of Retail Rating.

Tim, who joins from rating specialists Altus Edwin Hill, will work with CBRE’s Rating and Taxation team and is tasked with further increasing their client base in the retail sector, which already includes Monsoon, Reiss and landlord Westfield. He will be based in London alongside the CBRE Retail Agency teams.

Tim, who has 13 years’ experience, is the latest addition to CBRE’s Rating and Taxation Team, following Jonathan Buckle and Dan Grigg, who joined from Jones Lang LaSalle, Nick Boyle, recruited from Strutt & Parker, Richard Lunn (Dalton Warner Davis) and Colette Dipple (Gerald Eve) who all arrived in the past 12 months.

Jonathan Kinsey, Head of Rating and Taxation, EMEA, CBRE, said:

“The delayed rating revaluation will have a significant impact on many retailers, magnifying the importance of proactively managing and accounting for business rates. Against this backdrop, and with an increasing occupier and landlord client base, our Rating and Taxation team has grown by a third in the past year and Tim is another excellent addition.”
