CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. has acquired FM Arquitectos, a leading building consultant and architectural firm in Spain. The acquisition is another important step in CB Richard Ellis' strategy to expand its full-service offering in Europe to meet the growing spectrum of client requirements.
Founded in 1995 by Javier Martínez, FM Arquitectos employs 36 staff and specializes in building consulting, architecture and engineering for all commercial property types. The firm is one of the leading building and architectural consultants in Spain and focuses on office buildings, including interior space fit-outs, residential properties, hotels and resorts.
FM Arquitectos, based in Madrid, serves an impressive roster of local and international clients, including Ericsson, Microsoft, Dupont, NH Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels, Polaris World, Nexity, BBVA, Fidelity Funds, C.A.M., Glaxo Smithkline, Vodafone, Lucent Technologies and Foster Wheeler.
CB Richard Ellis' announcement follows the company's acquisition last year of two building consultant specialist firms, Artequation in France and Rietmeijer & Partners BV in the Netherlands.
