Catella has announced that it expands its Corporate Finance activities with two new companies: Catella Retail, focused on retail business and consumer goods, and Catella companies.
"Already in the early 1990s, when Catella started its corporate finance activities within the property sector, the business idea was to offer a combination of profound financial knowledge and specific trade experience. This strategy got Catella a market-leading position within the property sector", commented Johan Björklund, CEO of Catella Holding.
"Last year, we expanded the Corporate Finance activities with Catella Healthcare, focused on pharmaceuticals and medical technology. Catella now continues to grow within other selected sectors", said Björklund.
Connected with this strategic expansion, six key people have been recruited to the new companies: Gunnar Selving, formerly Sector Head Retail & Consumer at Handelsbanken; Christian Riisberg, formerly Handelsbanken Copenhagen; Rikard Östberg, formerly Hagströmer & Qviberg Fondkommission; Simon Gustafson, formerly Enskilda Securites; Henrik Eriksson, formerly Enskilda Securites; and Joachim Berner, whose previous positions include CEO and Editor-in-Chief at Dagens Nyheter, the leading daily paper in the Nordic region.
