Catella sets up new investment management company

In line with its ambition to increase focus on financial services, Catella is starting a new investment management company together with Mr R Malcolm Naish, former International Director of LaSalle Investment Management, Mr David K Rendall and Mr Robert A Campbell, former International Directors of Jones Lang LaSalle, and Mr Erik Sondén, a former Managing Director of Deutsche Bank. All four persons will be Directors and Shareholders in this new venture named Fountain Capital Partners.

Catella’s Deputy Chief Executive, Misha Moeremans d’Emaus comments: “It has been our intention to set up an European investment management business, including co-investment opportunities for investors, for some time and we are indeed very fortunate to have secured the services of four top class people in the business.” He continues: “It is particularly advantageous for us that all four have worked together very successfully in the past and have an unrivalled knowledge of the European property markets”.

Erik Sondén comments: 'We have been given a unique opportunity to set up an exclusive, personalised European investment management business, to meet the changing demands of the European institutional investor community. Our discussions with Catella have proceeded very quickly and we are very excited about our future together. He adds: “We are opening our London office at Claridge House, 32 Davies Street, London W1, at the beginning of October and plan to open in Paris over the coming months. We shall be delighted to announce further details on our new business venture in due course.”
