Capital of institutional investors in Europe exceeds a billion Euro

According to an investigation of the Investment Property Databank (IPD), the amount of institutional capital in the eleven leading European real estate markets reached a billion euro.

The study indicates that Sweden, with 11%, was the largest share of institutional property in the European market, followed by the UK with 7%. With 1%, Spain and Ireland have the smallest part.

Converted, institutional British companies hold 57% of all available units in their national market; in Sweden, with 56%, the national value is similarly high. The shares of 4% of the Finnish investors make 39% of their national market, while the participations in Spain and Ireland solely make respectively 9 or 8% of the total investment market.
