Hilton Worldwide has unveiled plans to bring Canopy by Hilton to the UK with the launch of the new London City hotel, located in Aldgate.
Following a franchise agreement with 4C Hotel Group, Canopy London City will welcome its first guests in early 2018, joining more than 35 hotels across the city within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio.
“London is a city of many incredibly eclectic neighbourhoods. Located within the historic City of London and adjacent to areas such as Whitechapel and Spitalfields, Aldgate is an ideal fit for the introduction of the UK’s first Canopy by Hilton,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Hilton Worldwide. “We are delighted to be working with 4C Hotel Group to further enhance this vibrant quarter of London, a city where we’ll soon have seven of our world class brands operating.”

Construction is already underway on the mixed use development, which features an impressive metal clad facade. The Minories development will feature a new city square, a public green garden, an office building and a new residential building alongside the Canopy by Hilton Hotel. The interior design of Canopy by Hilton London City will draw on the legacy of the Whitechapel Gallery and surrounding areas cultural mix.
