CA Immo and UBM Development begin Mainz mixed-use project (DE)
CA Immo and UBM Development have started construction of the Kaufmannshof residential and office building in the Zollhafen Mainz district. The building will have a total gross floor space of around 8,600m², of which approx. 55% will be for residential and 45% for office use. Completion of the building is scheduled for mid-2022. The investment amounts to a total of around €37m.

The project is designed by Meck Architekten together with the landscape planners Latz + Partner. The building encloses a green inner courtyard and is surrounded by canals. These are large water basins in which an independent ecosystem with fish and plants is being created. Wooden decks make it possible to experience this special open space and invite you to linger awhile. The building's architecture is characterised by a clinker façade, reminiscent of the history of the Mainz customs port.

The residential and office building consists of four separately accessible building sections. Different types of homes are possible in 2- to 4-room flats, spacious lofts and townhouses, each with its own entrance and garden. In addition, there will be micro-flats for students or singles. Flexible solutions for modern working are being realised in the office part of the building. The building also has an underground car park with 76 parking spaces and is pre-fitted for e-charging stations. There are also 45 bicycle parking spaces in the basement, 60 more are available above ground.
