British Land has announced that TK Maxx has signed for a 20,000 ft² (approx. 1,858 m²) unit at the 130,000 ft² (approx. 12,077 m²) Green Lanes Shopping Centre in Barnstaple.
TK Maxx will move to the town for the first time into a purpose-built, two-storey extension at the shopping center on a 15 year lease. The store will carry the full TK Maxx range including womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories. Planning approval for the unit was secured last year and construction will start in spring this year. The store is scheduled to open in spring 2015.
Ailsa Davidson, Asset Manager for British Land, said: “The arrival of TK Maxx at Green Lanes is great news, strengthening the center’s already strong fashion credentials, and demonstrating its ability to attract leading occupiers.”
Green Lanes is already home to a range of fashion retailers including River Island, Monsoon, New Look and Topshop / Topman.
