BP and ChevronTexaco have the intention to build a 225 Mw wind turbine park on the site of their joint refinery in Europort, near Rotterdam.
The project, which involves an investment of EUR 25 mln and which is expected to start during the second half of 2002, is the first endeavor by both BP and ChevronTexaco to use wind turbine technology. The park will generate electricity to supply 20,000 households and will diminish the expulsion of CO2 gasses with 20,000 tons per year.
