Bob W adds two more properties to their portfolio in Finland

Bob W has recently announced the addition of two more properties to their portfolio in Finland. Along with the Helsinki property Bob W Kaarti, which is set to open this Summer, two more properties will be opening soon, namely Bob W Kamppi and Bob W Turku City Centre. With these two new locations, Bob W will offer over a hundred sustainable apartments in the historic area of Turku, Finland.

Bob W Turku City Centre is a modern development located in the market square of Turku in one of Turku's landmark buildings, known as 'Vanun Talo' or the Cotton Wool House. This historic building from the 1920s has unique architecture and a restored facade.

Bob W Kamppi is a former office block in the heart of Helsinki's music scene. Bob W collaborated with Slatto to convert it into apartments with a rooftop sauna lounge set around an inner courtyard. The refurbished building will open in 2025 and will include coworking spaces, a rooftop lounge, and sauna facilities, showcasing a mix of nostalgia and modernity.

Bob W collaborated with Avarrus Architects to enhance its sustainability credentials. The refurbishment includes eco-friendly HVAC systems, energy-efficient windows, solar energy solutions, and more. The apartments are equipped with a kitchen area, home comforts, and digital guest services, including keyless entry and access to local services.

Erik Moller, Head of Hotels at Slättö in Finland said: "Helsinki city centre is a market we strongly believe in. There is a shortage of high-end modern offerings and Bob W Kamppi will be one of the most central alternatives for both business and leisure. The innovative, digital platform from Bob W allows to focus on both short and long stay, driving high utilisation and efficient operations.

Niko Karstikko, Co-founder and CEO of Bob W, said: “As a Finnish Pan-European hospitality brand, I am thrilled that Bob W is supporting its heritage by opening more world-class properties in Finland. The Finnish market is a rapidly evolving travel destination that is not only popular for guests looking for tranquillity and adventure but is a thriving hotspot for the hospitality industry. “The city of Turku is a place close to my heart. Half of my family are from the area, and I’m delighted that Bob W is supporting this destination, I believe it is a place everyone should visit. It’s such a vibrant area, bustling with museums, galleries, and waterfront restaurants.“I am a massive champion of Helsinki, and it’s great that Bob W is expanding its presence in the city. Bob W Turku and Bob W Kamppi are the ideal places for the next generation of travellers and digital nomads to stay, whether it is for a night, weeks or longer stays.
