BNP Paribas REIM France continues to invest in the health sector on behalf of the OPCI HPF1 (FR)

During the first quarter, on behalf of the OPCI Health Property Fund 1 (HPF1), BNP Paribas REIM France finalized the purchase from Foncière des Régions of three iconic MCO (Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics) clinics in Paris and the inner suburbs operated by Générale de Santé, a longstanding leader in the management of hospitals and private clinics in France, for more than €57 million.

-The Blomet clinic, in the fifteenth arrondissement, with an area of 3380 m² and 68 beds,

- The Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire clinic, in the fifth arrondissement, with an area of 8500 m² and 196 beds,

- The Marcel Sembat clinic, in Boulogne-Billancourt, with an area of 3540 m² and 79 beds

- An SSR/PSY (Aftercare and Rehabilitation/Psychiatric) clinic with 2735 m² and 58 beds in the Landes, operated by INICEA.

"This new investment is part of our asset diversification strategy on behalf of our clients and demonstrates our interest in the health sector, which is less sensitive to economic cycles. It also allows the fund to gain rare exposure to the Parisian market, via iconic institutions, leased to a leading operator. HPF1 will continue to invest in 2014 and is currently studying the purchase of several other health institutions for a total of more than €100 million," states Jacqueline Faisant, Chairman of BNP Paribas REIM France
