Bilfinger Berger AG said it has little chance of acquiring the traffic route engineering operations of insolvent builder Walter Bau AG because of conditions attached by the insolvency administrator.
Speaking at the company's annual press conference, chief executive Herbert Bodner said he would like to expand Bilfinger Berger's own road building business with the acquisition but that at present conditions relating to the time-frame of the sale exist that his firm "cannot, from a practical standpoint, fulfil."
Bodner did not provide further details on the conditions.
