Robbert van Zinnicq Bergmann (57) joins the Management Board of Aareal Asset Management GmbH with effect from 1 December 2005. Bergmann will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer alongside Niels Fischer, Chief Operations Officer (COO). Both report to the head of the company, Charles Pridgeon (CEO). Bergmann will be responsible not only for the finance and controlling functions, but also for the fund management of all of Aareal Asset Management GmbH's closed-ended property funds with international portfolios for institutional investors.
Bergmann has extensive experience in the management of property funds and finance. Before joining Aareal Group in 1999 as Management Board Member of Aareal Property Services, he was Vice-Chairman of the VastNed Group, which manages publicly listed property funds, invested in commercial properties in Western Europe. He gained his experience in finance at Citicorp and ABN AMRO Bank. At ABN AMRO he was Executive Vice-President responsible for the investments fund business. Bergmann, a Dutch national, has a law degree (University of Utrecht) and an MBA degree (INSEAD, France).
