BCSC has announced that the BCSC Purple Apple Marketing Awards, which recognize and reward effective retail marketing, will take place at Wembley Stadium on Thursday 1 May 2008. This new, larger venue will accommodate the growing number of participants who want to attend the premier marketing event in the shopping center and retail destination industry.
LDJ Design and Display Ltd is the leading sponsor. This event is also supported by Britvic, British Land, C-Interactive, Clear Channel, Flex-e-Vouchers, Land Securities, Spirit Marketing, Propinvest and Westfield.

Owen-Ellis Clark, Marketing Director for Land Securities Outlet Centres, has said that the Task Force saw the chance to go to Wembley as a way to accommodate growth in what has now become a sell-out event.
"The Awards Dinner has developed into one of the focal points of the marketing and the shopping center calendar with owners and landlords, marketing departments, PR directors and asset teams celebrating the very best of what our industry has to offer," she said.
The 2008 Purple Apple Marketing Awards will open for entries later this year. Last year's awards attracted over 100 entries. Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre took home the Purple Apple award for outstanding creativity, cost effectiveness and superb results, while 20 other centers and projects secured Purple Apple Merit Awards for exceptional work or Purple 'Pips' for projects that had the seeds of a good idea.
Bookings will open for the event in early 2008.
