After a construction period of three and a half years, the BahnhofCity Vienna West shopping center opens on Wednesday November 23, 2011 at 9 am. Together with the already completed traffic station, the new office spaces and the hotel (the first Motel One in Vienna), the complete BahnhofCity will be finished.

BahnhofCity Vienna West was honored with the renowned DIVA AWARD this year on November 9.
In the new shopping world are around 90 specialist shops, cafés, restaurants, and service outlets represented. The center provides on three levels a sales area of approx. 17,000 m².
The complete BahnhofCity Vienna West complex comprises the completely modernized train station, a hotel (Motel One) with 441 rooms as well as approx. 13,000 m² of office space. The train station hall, which is under monumental protection, was renovated in the scope of the construction works and integrated in the BahnhofCity.
The office space is almost completely leased out and the tenants will successively move in by spring 2012. A large tenant with 6,300 m² is the Austrian electricity trader VERBUND.
ECE is competence partner of the Austrian Federal Railway (ÖBB) and commissioned with the leasing out of shopping and office spaces as well as the center management. Moreover, ECE architects realized planning and consulting services for the center. The overall investment volume amounts to around €200 million.

With its wide range of culinary delights, goods and service, it provides an adequate welcome for the commuters as well as visitors to Vienna. For the inhabitants of the surrounding districts, the center has an important and comprehensive local supply function."
All shop spaces are leased out at the time of opening. The focus of BahnhofCity is placed on the sections fashion, gastronomy and food. The balanced branch mixture includes a comprehensive hardware range with books, magazines, newspapers and consumer electronics as well as more than 30 fashion and lifestyle concepts such as Desigual, Kult (Görgens group), Mexx or Jack&Jones. In the section shoes/sports are Sidestep, Runners Point and Max Shoes represented.
The anchor tenants are, among others, a Merkur grocery store, the drug stores Müller and dm, Deichmann, New Yorker, the fashion provider Vögele as well as the 100th Vapiano restaurant. A post office BAWAG PSK is represented with a store in the BahnhofCity Vienna West. The tenant and branch mixture is rounded off with an ÖBB travel agency, the ÖBB travel center as well as an ÖBB lounge.
