Austria to welcome first Curio Collection by Hilton hotel

Hilton has signed a management agreement with Kitz Immobilieninvest to open Curio Collection by Hilton. The 81-guest room hotel will be Hilton’s first hotel in the resort town of Kitzbuhel. Grand Tirolia Hotel Kitzbuhel is a multi-facility resort set in the scenic mountains and forests of the Austrian Alps. The hotel, which offers a wide range of large rooms and suites, includes four restaurants and bars, a ballroom and three meeting rooms and fitness facilities. The state-of-the-art spa, spread over nearly 2,500m², includes indoor and outdoor heated pools, 11 treatment rooms and six saunas. Adjacent to the hotel is the 18-hole Eichenheim golf course, one of four in Kitzbuhel.

Kitzbuhel has one of the longest ski seasons in the Alps, and with more than 200km of ski slopes, Kitzbuhel and its neighbouring towns make up one of the largest ski regions in Austria. In the summer Kitzbuhel is a popular destination for health and sports enthusiasts with several spas, golf courses, tennis courts, and hiking and biking trails in the area.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton said: “Kitzbuhel is one of the leading Alpine resorts. A renowned sporting and year-round destination, Kitzbuhel hosts a number of high profile events, including the famous Hahnenkammrennen ski race and the Austrian Tennis Open. We look forward to officially welcoming guests to Grand Tirolia Hotel Kitzbuhel, the first Curio Collection by Hilton property in the beautiful Alps region of Austria in the coming months.”

Othmar Seidl, managing director, Kitz Immobilieninvest GmbH, said: “It is very exciting to partner with Hilton on the Grand Tirolia Hotel Kitzbuhel. The partnership with Curio Collection by Hilton will enhance the hotel’s appeal to international guests and maintain the hotel’s unique Alpine charm. We cannot wait to welcome guests in the new season.”
