Widely-known French retail chain Auchan has become an anchor tenant at the largest shopping and entertainment center in Tyumen, taking 20,000 m².
This will be the first Auchan hypermarket to be opened in Tyumen in 2012. Cushman & Wakefield was advisor on the deal.
The new shopping and entertainment center is situated at the intersection of Shirotnaya and Melnikaite streets in the growing residential district in the south of Tyumen. The total area of the building is 100,000 m² with a GLA of 75,000 m². The open parking area will have 3,000 parking spaces.
The shopping center will also have DIY, sportswear and electronic goods, fashion gallery, entertainment zone with multi-screen theater, food-court and restaurants. It will be the largest shopping and entertaining center to be built in Tyumen. The grand opening is planned for Q4 2012.
The developer of the shopping center is MDS Group. The main architect is Chapman Taylor. The Retail Services Department of Cushman & Wakefield is the exclusive leasing agent for the shopping center.
