Wal-Mart Stores-owned Asda has unveiled a £400m new store build and supermarket extension programme, which it said will create 4,300 new jobs.
The news was anounced just hours ahead of Wal-Mart´s first quarter earnings later yesterday.
As well as new builds and extensions, Asda plans to put mezzanine levels in some of its shops, resite others and is building several in high street locations.
