In 2005 an enormous complex of offices and apartments, including a four-star hotel, is planned for a location in the IJ, the stretch of water behind AmsterdamÂ's Central Station.
IJdock, as it will be called, will comprise five wide towers with a total of 70,000 square-metres of floor space, 65 luxury apartments, and a yacht harbour for tourists. The hotel will consist of 250 rooms and various conference halls.
