Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has been voted the worldÂ's best ICT airport by ATTIS - Air Transport and Travel Information Systems. According to the ATTIS IT specialists Amsterdam Airport Schiphol makes the best and most innovative use of information technology.

The ATTIS Â'Best User of IT in the Airport IndustryÂ' award was presented to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol during the annual ATTIS conference, ATTIS EXPO, held in Amsterdam this year. Frankfurt Airport was also nominated for the award as were the airports of Toronto, Las Vegas and Vancouver.


ATTIS EXPO is a prestigious international information and communication technology conference for the air transport and travel industry. The latest trends and IT solutions are presented at the conference. Leading companies in the sector also hold seminars and workshops. At the Schiphol Group and Joh. Enschedé stand participants and visitors were given an explanation of and a demonstration on automatic border passage using iris recognition.
