Amsterdam Airport Schiphol attracts new companies (NL)

Schiphol Real Estate has signed an agreement with Eagle Global Logistics for the development of a freight building on Schiphol Southeast. This development consists of 8,000 m² of business premises and 2,100 m² of office space. EGL already had subsidiaries in Schiphol Rijk and Schiphol East. In this new building all activities will be centralized. The new building is a design of Moen and Van Oosten. The building activities will start mid June 2005, delivery is expected for March 2006.

UMC
The European head office of the Taiwan company UMC is moving to WTC Schiphol Airport. This European head office is now established in Amsterdam Southeast. UMC will move to the WTC in September 2005.

More newcomers
UMC and EGL are not the only newcomers on Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. So far since January 2005, Schiphol Real Estate has signed agreements with 21 companies who were previously not yet present on the airport. The total of these transactions is over 20,000 m² of office space and 11,000 m² of business premises. Recently there was the announcement of the development and realization of the new head office for Microsoft Netherlands (12,000 m²) in Schiphol Center. Another new company is Star Alliance who will establish an office in the Triport Office Complex in Schiphol Center. Also Alitalia, Kroonenberg Groep, Blomsma, Munchhof, Sineth Consultants, Business Creation, FNS, Kunststad, MPM, Blue Bird Travel, FTC Trust, WorldWide Broker, ProLogis, Seko Benelux, Pearle, Transair Cargo, ANSO Work and Horse Service International have chosen to move to the airport.
