After the official opening in the evening of May 24, Espai Gironés (Salt, Spain) will open its doors to the public on May 25. Espai Gironés is the second shopping center that AM has delivered in Spain. In November 2004, Espacio Léon was opened.
The shopping center has a surface of approx. 40,000 m² and is situated in Salt, near Gerona. Espai Gironés offers its visitors retail, leisure, cinemas and restaurants, divided over 122 units on two floors. The center offers parking space for 2,500 cars. About twelve million visitors are expected per year. The investment volume of Espai Gironés was approx. 85 million.
On June 16, AM will receive the Quatrium Award for the most innovative shopping center development in Spain. The masterplan was developed by T+T Design from Gouda and architect is Chapman Taylor from Madrid.
