Altera sells Rotterdam retail portfolio (NL)

Altera Vastgoed has sold a retail portfolio at Korte Lijnbaan and Karel Doormanstraat in Rotterdam to an investment vehicle of the Welgelegen Groep and Van der Kooy Vastgoed. The assets comprising a total of 4,062m² have been let to Claudia Strater, Xiaomi, Dodgers, Donna Li, Lederpaleis, Kan Mode, Moda Milan, Eazie, Burger King Donutella and IFFR. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Erwin Wessels, CIO Altera, commented: "With this transaction, we have sold our latest comparison retail in the city centre of Rotterdam. Our investment strategy is focused on investing in convenience centres and supermarkets in the demographically strong catchment areas in the Netherlands. A strategy that suits institutional investors particularly well: a higher direct return, sustainable and less sensitive to e-commerce and cyclical changes".
