AKRON purchases office building project Prospekt Peremogi 67 in Kyiv (UA/AT)

European law firm Schoenherr has advised AKRON Group on the purchase of office building project Prospekt Peremogi 67 in Kyiv. In September Akron acquired a 40% stake in the project initiated by R-Quadrat. Akron and RQuadrat will continue to develop the project jointly. After completion of the project, it will be fully owned by Akron.

The Prospekt Peremogy 67 project includes a Class-A office and trading centre with total of 33,500 m² divided over 10 floors and will include 360 parking places. Building has already started and is due to be completed by the end of 2010. The plot is located in the Western part of the Ukrainian capital, about 7.5 km from the centre and conveniently located near a highway junction and within reach of the metro transport system.

Schoenherr junior partner Alexander Popp, who advised Akron on this transaction, says about the deal: "Kyiv is in need of office spaces with Western standards. AKRON and R-QUADRAT are stable and experienced developers and I am sure they will be successful in this joint venture." The Schoenherr team further consisted of Georg Perkowitsch, Miriam Simsa and Valeriya Kroshyna.
