AEW Europe: Rob Wilkinson appointed Chief Investment Officer (FR)

Leading European real estate investment manager, AEW Europe, has appointed Rob Wilkinson as Chief Investment Officer. In this role he will continue to oversee the investment activities of the firm and the management of funds and separate accounts. He was formerly Head of Fund Management and Separate Accounts and remains based in AEW Europe's London office, for which he also holds operational responsibility.

We are at a crucial point in the evolution of the European real estate investment market as it recovers from the financial and economic crisis and the CIO has a key responsibility in successfully investing our client's capital and developing innovative new strategies to match their needs going forward."

Wilkinson has 18 years of real estate investment and fund management expertise and joined AEW Europe in 2009, after five years with the Goodman Group in Paris. At Goodman he led a team responsible for the fund management of the group's sector focused funds representing €4.5 billion of assets invested across the office, logistics, retail and residential sectors in the UK and continental Europe. The position encompassed the development, structuring, and equity raising for new vehicles. He holds a law degree from Cambridge University and is a qualified chartered accountant

AEW Europe has also announced a number of further appointments within its investment and separate account and club deals teams:

Laurent Babelon, Peter Mather and Daniel Harris are appointed Co-Heads of Investment, reporting to Rob Wilkinson.

In these capacities, Babelon, Mather and Harris will be responsible for coordinating all the investing activities of the group across Europe. Babelon continues to have operational responsibility for the investment team in Paris with Mather and Harris responsible for the management of the teams based in London and Dusseldorf.

Gereon Kohlgrueber is appointed Deputy Head of Germany and reports to Mather and Harris with respect to investments in that market. He also has an additional reporting line to Stephan Boenning as Country Manager for Germany.

Marie-Helene Helleux is appointed Head of Separate Accounts and Club Deals in Paris reporting to Rob Wilkinson. She will be responsible for the management and development of this activity for AEW Europe and for ensuring the company continues to deliver the highest possible service to clients. Alban Halle is appointed as Head of Business Development for separate account and club-deals with responsibility for targeting new separate account and club deal opportunities.

Luc Bordereau is appointed Head of Fund, Separate Account and Club Deals Operations and Financing, reporting to AEW Europe's Chief Operating Officer Eric Donnet in Paris. Bordereau will manage the teams based in Paris and Luxembourg.

Brieuc Ruellan has been appointed Head of Separate Account and Club Deal Operations reporting to Bordereau.

Serge Bataillie will take on responsibility for the AEW Europe SGP business, reporting to Christian Delaire and replacing Jean-Pierre Noble who is retiring. AEW Europe SGP is one of the leading managers of regulated vehicles on behalf of institutional investors in France.

The structure of AEW Europe's Executive Committee remains unchanged and comprises: Jeff Furber, Chairman; Christian Delaire, Chief Executive Officer; Mireille Chetioui, General Secretary; Eric Donnet, Chief Operating Officer and Rob Wilkinson, Chief Investment Officer.
