Accenture opens new delivery center in the Czech Republic (CZ)

Accenture has opened its second Czech delivery center in Brno (south Moravia), which will provide application outsourcing and infrastructure outsourcing for Western European clients. Brno is Accenture's sixth center operating in Central and Eastern Europe.

The center will complement Accenture's existing global delivery network of more than 40 delivery centers, including Brno, in more than 20 cities. It will provide a wide array of services in system integration, application outsourcing, infrastructure outsourcing and business process outsourcing. In the coming months, Accenture intends to employ and train approximately 200 IT professionals and graduates with information technology skills. In the long-term, more than 400 workers could be employed at the center.

"We selected Brno for its proximity to our existing Prague and Bratislava delivery centers, as well as the region's highly qualified workforce of talented information technology professionals who are fluent in multiple languages," said Jozef Kokoška, managing director of Accenture's Brno delivery center.

"Companies investing in the Czech Republic are primarily looking for top-class talent and expertise, and Accenture's new center only serves to reaffirm this trend," said TomᚠHruda, CEO of the Investment and Business Development Agency CzechInvest.

The Brno delivery center will provide technology services, including application maintenance and development, and systems integration. The technologies offered will include SAP, CRM solutions, enterprise application integration (EAI), database technologies, and the proprietary development of systems on the Java and .Net platforms. Professionals will provide services in multiple languages, including English and German.

Accenture has been operating in the Czech Republic since 1991 and currently employs more than 1700 employees, who provide a comprehensive portfolio of services. In 2001 it opened its delivery center in Prague.
