The Wiesbaden local court (Amtsgericht Wiesbaden) appointed Dr. Herbert Lohneiß as a new member of the Supervisory Board of Aareal Bank AG, upon application
by the Management Board, on 24 November 2006. Dr. Lohneiß succeeds Dr. Claus Nolting, who had resigned from his office with effect from 21 August 2006.
Dr. Herbert Lohneiß is Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Financial Services GmbH in Munich. He also serves as a member of various Supervisory Boards of banking and property companies. Having spent a significant part of his career in New York and London, Dr. Lohneiß has gained vast international experience, also on the basis of his professional education.
