Strategically located next to an RER station as well as the A86 ring road, Cristal Campus has been handed over to THALES and now houses the headquarters of THALES Communication & Security headquarters the former having relocated to the Parisian suburb of Gennevilliers. The ensemble owned by AG Real Estate provides close to 90,000 m² of office space nestled within a vast landscaped park.
Planning constraints imposed by the surrounding floodplain are cleverly interpreted, keeping parking naturally ventilated and below grade, and generating a vast aquatic park which links the buildings together to form a 'floating' campus. Some nine buildings house dedicated client reception areas, conferences facilities, showrooms, social premises, a staff canteen, and several office buildings.
A purpose built structure meets client requirements for sheltered parking spaces. Cristal campus is designed to maximize access to the disabled, and includes pathways to the garden and internal lifts which are clearly signaled for the visually impaired. There area 2,250 parking spaces, of which 45 spaces are for the disabled. Some 200 spaces are allocated for two wheeled vehicles. Loading bays, storage facilities and a waste handling centre complete the facilities.
The Carré 92 business park scheduled to accommodate 180,000 m² of office space when fully completed can still provide room for another 30,000 m² of purposely built office space.
The ART & BUILD Architect/AG Real Estate team behind the new THALES Communication & Security headquarters already achieved recognition in 2011 when Groupe Chèque Déjeuner Headquarters, also located at Carré 92, won a MIPIM Award in the Business Centres category.
