The tallest residential building in Amsterdam is planned to tower over the city skyline by 2010, according to Woontoren Amsterdam BV.
Construction of the project is due to begin early 2008, with 382 units being ready for residents to move in at the end of 2010. The 47-story condominium tower will rise 150 m from the ground in the Dutch capital. It will be located near the Amsterdam Arena stadium in Amsterdam South-East. Apart from appartments the building will contain a workout facility, a restaurants and shops. The architects are Wiel Arets architect & associates and Van Aken Architecten. Woontoren Amsterdam BV is a joint venture of project developer De Principaal BV, BAM Vastgoed BV and Woonmaatschappij.
