ČEZ takes on a lease on Building 'E' in BB Centrum (CZ)

The ČEZ Group, one of the largest companies based at the Prague BB Centrum, have announced their plans to enter into a lease on the E Building, situated in close proximity to their existing offices in Duhová Street. This is in addition to lease contracts for the premises in another two BB Centrum's buildings (Alpha and Beta) signed earlier by ČEZ.

The developer of BB Centrum, PASSERINVEST GROUP, has revealed that the rent levels can be expected below average, reflecting that ČEZ intends to lease out the whole building on a long-term basis when they have already occupied certain areas in BB Centrum. "We would like to concentrate the Prague staff in the process of integration within the ČEZ Group for the purpose of bringing more flexibility to our everyday business operations," said Ladislav Kříž, Spokesman for the ČEZ Group.

Under construction since this July, Building E is scheduled for opening by the end of the year 2006. Located among Baarova, Vyskočilova and Michelská streets, the site lies immediately adjacent to the access road to the Trunk Road (known as 5. května St) in the centre direction. This is why the overall design concept has been significantly influenced by the acoustic treatment. The southwest façade has been designed to reduce the noise of the traffic, which would otherwise deteriorate living conditions in the residential buildings on the opposite side of 5. května Street.

The building has seven above-ground storeys and four basements, with an almost 14,600-m² usable area. It is envisaged that catering facilities will be available on the premises in addition to the offices, which naturally constitute the greater part of the scheme. The office spaces will be adequate for over 1,000 people and the underground car park will provide over 300 parking places.

Designed in a similar style to the other BB Centrum buildings, the E Building will be brought up to the latest standards, examples being its more than adequate lighting, humidity ventilation and interior cooling. There will be panoramic lifts in the covered triangular atrium, which will – at the same time – allow penetration of natural light into the offices facing the atrium. Each of the floor plans will be designed to suit tenants' specific requirements. Last but not least, Building E – like buildings Alpha and Beta – will boast a roof garden with a relax terrace, which will be certainly very popular with the staff and visitors.
