Two French retailers choose for Antwerp's most prestigious shopping street (FR/BE)

The Retail team of Jones Lang LaSalle has finalized two lettings on the most prestigious and luxurious Antwerp shopping street, the Schuttershofstraat. The famous French retailer Ladurée installed in a 70 m² boutique on the Schuttershofstraat 51 previously let to John Braye, and Vicomte A. is taking a lease on a 54 m² building on the Schuttershofstraat 46 previously let to Miss Sixty.

Ladurée offers a wide range of sweets and gourmandises but is really famous for its 'macarons'. These small, round cakes, crisp on the outside, smooth and soft in the middle, are produced in several tastes & colors. The success story of the Macaron Ladurée started in the middle of the 20th century with Pierre Desfontaine and now symbolizes French luxury and refinement.

This is the first Ladurée flagship store in Belgium (Antwerp) and the second one in the BENELUX, there's already a Ladurée boutique in the Rue Philippe II in Luxembourg.

Vicomte A. is a young Polo and sportswear brand at heart for the younger generation. The label is a brand which specializes in casual chic wear for men, women and children, offering a total look across a selection of shirts, jackets, ties, pullovers, polo shirts, blouses, trousers and skirts accompanied by an extensive range of accessories. In 2007, Vicomte A. opened the first shop on the rive droite in Paris and slots in the department stores Galleries Lafayette and Le Bon Marché quickly followed.

Today the brand has almost 400 outlets in multi brand stores and also 30 of the company's own Vicomte A boutiques in France, U.K., Czech Republic, Austria and Kuwait City. The opening of this shop is planned for the beginning of 2013.
