Terence O’Rourke secures approval for 460 homes and a school in East Sussex (UK)

Wealden District Council has issued outline planning permission for the urban extension on the northern edge of Hailsham, promoted by The Fairfield Partnership.

In addition to 460 homes the scheme will include a new two-form entry primary school, retail and employment development within a comprehensive network of green space.

Lead consultant, Terence O’Rourke provided Planning, Master Planning, Landscape and Environment input to the project, supported by WSP.

Nick Guildford, Associate Director at Terence O’Rourke said: “This permission, which follows our successful promotion of the site through the Council’s Core Strategy will provide much needed market and affordable homes ensuring a continued five year supply of housing land within the district, along with education for future generations.”
