The shopping and entertainment complex will impress even the most inveterate of shopaholics, and will offer an entertainment selection that is sure to make it a favorite past-time for the entire family.

Indeed, Respublika is not just another shopping and entertainment facility. Its dimensions will surpass the largest operating complexes in Ukraine.

Implementation of this unprecedented project in this scale will cost approximately US $350 million. The developer of the project is K.A.N. Development, known for such projects as Park City Residential Complex, Comfort Town Residential Complex, 101 TOWER Business Center, Arena Entertainment Complex, Arena City Shopping and Entertainment Complex, DOMINANT Business Center, Ocean Plaza Shopping and Entertainment Complex, IQ Business Center, Diamond Hill Residential Complex and others. The investor in the project is Megapoliszhilstroy.

The total area of the three-level complex will be about 300,000 m², with a leasehold area of 136,000 m². The shopping and entertainment complex will include a 16,000 m² Ashan hypermarket; a 9,500 m² furniture hypermarket; a 3,000 electronics supermarket, plus department stores of clothes and footwear, sports and children's goods, and household goods.

Construction of the shopping and entertainment complex Respublika as a part of the largest IFC in Ukraine was a strategic decision which will provide the population of this new residential community, located on an area of more than 1 million m², the necessary infrastructure. It will provide tenants of the shopping and entertainment complex with the guaranteed flow of buyers. The additional group of potential visitors to the shopping and entertainment complex will be passengers of a new inter-city bus terminal which will be opened as a part of IFC in 2012.

“I am sure that Respublika will become one of our best projects, because it will differ from its predecessors not only in its sizes, shape and the atmosphere, but the complex will also include the unique, first in Ukraine off-season entertainment park of 22,000 m².

“The trade zone will be represented by more than 430 shops that fit every taste and different price category. We have planned its opening for the first quarter of 2014,” said Igor Nikonov, President of K.A.N. Development Group.

The transport scheme developed within the project will allow guests of the shopping and entertainment complex to reach it from any place in the city without traffic jams and any difficulties. One of important advantages of the project will be a new subway station located near the entrance of the complex.

The most emotionally rich zone of the Respublika will be its entertaining component. The boundless delight here is guaranteed not only for children, but for adults as well. For the first time they will be given a chance to ride on a rollercoaster that reaches 500 m at its highest point, and to take a ride on a big wheel with diameter of 18 meters. The complex will also include a wind tunnel for thrillseekers, the attraction ‘A falling tower’, and a children's entertainment center covering an entire hectare.

Visitors of the center will be able to watch films in the ultramodern cinema with 12 halls, bowl with friends on 24 lanes, go ice skating or on rollers and spend time in the food court in cozy cafés with terraces and in diverse restaurants.

All this in green, comfortable recreation areas that is sure to offer the consumer positive impressions at the shopping and entertainment complex Respublika.

Modern trends and approaches in design supplement each other successfully. The author of the architectural concept of the largest shopping and entertainment complex in Ukraine is the creative team of architectural workshop Archimatika, well-known for already realized projects as Park City Residential Complex, Comfort Town Residential Complex and others.

The concept of interiors of the shopping and entertainment complex was developed by the international architectural bureau Chapman Taylor. The agent of the project is Ukrainian Trade Guild Company (UTG).

"The shopping and entertainment complex will become an example of synthesis in modern trends in design and construction and thinking of architects of the new generation. Not only its scales are amazing in this architectural object, but its courageous planning decisions as well," said Alexander Popov Director of design group Archimatika.

The accented entrance groups, smoothness of front forms, wide range of shopping and entertaining objects, light galleries with green recreation areas and the lamps scattered like faceted lazurites, will organize a 1.6 km promenade unprecedented still in Ukraine.

Only in Respublika will you be able to see such a huge main central atrium which will be illuminated by eight light lamps with a general glazing surface of nearly 2,000 m² – they exceed the area of a football field! The size of the elliptic atrium will surpass all expectations.

Architects of the complex have worked diligently to create original rest areas, having placed them on bridges. It will allow visitors to watch from above what is going on in the most crowded places in the shopping and entertainment complex.

As a whole, the planning decision of the complex will provide the simple communication of internal space with all surrounding territory and future residential community by means of 14 front entrances equipped with travelators, elevators and escalators. Four main entrances in the shopping and entertainment complex will be presented by double-height figured glass forms with height of more than 20 m in which green recreation areas will be placed. 10 exits from a covered parking for 3,500 parking spaces, leading directly to trading galleries and equipped with green recreation areas as well, will create additional convenience for visitors of the complex.
