As a part of the company's continued expansion, Nelson Bakewell is delighted to announce the following appointments which take effect from the end of October: Stuart Agnew will be joining to lead the Edinburgh office and John Powell joins Nelson Bakewell as Director of Professional Services at the company's City office.
Stuart Agnew, DTZ's Head of Investment for Scotland will be joining to lead the Edinburgh office of Nelson Bakewell. Stuart was at DTZ for 20 years including 13 years as Director. He will provide advise across all market sectors on structuring short and long term investment strategy to a wide range of property owners and investors, including pension funds, institutions and pension fund management companies, together with publicly quoted and private property companies.
The Nelson Bakewell Edinburgh office has a portfolio of clients which include Standard Life, Scottish Widows and Arlington.
John Powell joins Nelson Bakewell as Director of Professional Services at the company's City office. John is the leading rating surveyor in the City and, as Chairman of the G7 committee, he personally led all negotiations with the Valuation Office last Autumn which resulted in tens of millions of pounds being slashed from rates for oversupply. John is also a senior City rent review surveyor with over 20 years experience. He is currently head of City Rating and Landlord and Tenant at AtisReal where he has been for eight years.
Moving forward John's appointment will help to service investor and occupier clients in a market which is witnessing significant growth.
