Slough Estates announces Nigel Rich as Chairman Designate (UK)

International property group, Slough Estates plc, is pleased to announce that Nigel Rich will be joining the Board as a non-executive director and Chairman Designate on 1st July 2006. He will become Chairman on 1st October 2006, at which point the current Chairman Paul Orchard-Lisle will retire from the Board.

Paul Orchard-Lisle said: "I am delighted that Nigel Rich will be joining the Board and that he will succeed me as Chairman of the company. It is good news that as Slough Estates enters the next exciting phase in its development it will be chaired by a businessman with Nigel's breadth and depth of experience, both in the UK and internationally."

In 2005 Nigel Rich stepped down from the Chairmanships of Exel and of the Hamptons Group. He is currently a non-executive director of KGR Absolute Return PCC and of Pacific Assets Trust. Previously senior executive roles included; CEO of Trafalgar House, MD of Jardine Matheson and MD of Hongkong Land. Nigel Rich is 60.
