Skanska completes Parkview office building (CZ)

Skanska has completed the Parkview office building, located opposite the Central Park in Prague’s Pankrác district. The project, which is already almost 90 % leased, offers a total of 16,000m² of space over nine floors. Parkview is the second office project from Skanska built on the Pankrác Plain. The first was City Green Court building, which was completed in 2012.

Disegned by Richard Meier & Partners, the building is adorned with a pure white façade, from which balconies with views of the park and of Prague jut out from the second to eight floors. Greenery is placed throughout the building so as to generate a pleasant environment for work and relax. There is a sunken island full of vegetation in the middle of the atrium, with a light cloud designed by artist Mark China floating above. Benches from unique recycled concrete, so-called rebetong, will be placed around the complex and on the rooftop terrace.

"Pankrác has retained its position as one of the most stable business districts, and demand for space here is still strong. We are therefore delighted that Parkview will expand on this substantially. The building offers space in the very heart of the district, but also in the immediate vicinity of the Central Park, meaning that tenants will have a pleasant view of the greenery," said Alexandra Tomášková, Executive Vice-President for Commercial Development for Hungary and the Czech Republic.

Parkview also meets the highest environmental standards. "According to the data we have, the Visionary project in Holešovice and the Praga Studios building in Karlín are among the 10 greenest buildings in the world, thanks to their exceptional score in LEED for Core & Shell certification. The Parkview project also aims to achieve the highest possible level of LEED certification,” added Alexandra Tomášková.
