Serial winner SEB Asset Management Deutschland has defended its title in the real estate category. SEB ImmoInvest again received the Morningstar Fund Award Germany 2008 as the best fund. This means that the Frankfurt-based fund company has been an award winner every year since 1995.
The performance prize was presented for the 14th time on 13 March 2008 in cooperation with the financial newspaper Handelsblatt. The Morningstar Fund Awards replace the previous sector awards over 1, 5 and 10 years (formerly the Standard & Poor's Fund Awards) and are now only presented in the 18 most important categories overall. The winners are those funds that achieved the best performance over an extended period, with risk also being taken into account.
