SEB Asset Management extends lease with Liberty Global for 16,600 m² of space in the Netherlands (NL)

SEB Asset Management has extended its lease with Liberty Global in the Schiphol-Rijk business park in the Netherlands ahead of schedule. The lease for 16,611 m² of space and 436 parking spaces will now run until 2021. The largest international cable company with 24.5 million customers in 14 countries has been the sole tenant of the entire space of the four-building complex since the beginning of 2011. The company’s subsidiaries include Virgin Media in the United Kingdom, Unitymedia Kabel BW in Germany, Telenet in Belgium and UPC in the Netherlands and in other countries.

The five- to seven-storey office buildings were built between 1998 and 2000 and were contributed individually to the portfolio belonging to the open-ended real estate fund SEB ImmoInvest on completion. The complex has been fully let since its acquisition. The Schiphol-Rijk business park extends over roughly 28 hectares in total and is located at the heart of the “Amsterdam Airport Area”, just south of the city’s Schiphol airport.
