Savills advises on Frankfurt's biggest office letting of 2012 (DE)

International real estate advisor Savills has acted as exclusive advisor to Air Liquide Konzerns Global E&C Solutions and its subsidiary Lurgi GmbH on the letting of approximately 30,000 m² of office space, which represents the largest office deal in Frankfurt so far for 2012.

The property is located at Olof-Palme-Strasse 35, in the Mertonviertel office region in north Frankfurt, and was the former head office of Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Germany. The French global energy firm will occupy the entire building as its new German headquarters accommodating over 800 employees from Air Liquide Konzerns Global E&C Solutions and Lurgi technologies.

Asset manager and owner Round Hill Capital is currently carrying out an extensive refurbishment on the six-story property, which is scheduled to be complete for occupation in the first quarter of 2014.

Marco Mallucci, Savills regional director for Rhein-Main, comments: "This significant letting is evidence of the high demand from international firms for quality office space in Frankfurt. The second half of 2012 has seen take-up levels rise in the city and we expect total take-up to reach 450,000 m² by year-end."
