The Slovakian subsidiary of REDEVCO Central Europe purchased almost 30,000 m² of land in Bratislava Petralka from the Slovakian subsidiary of GENERALI IMMOBILIEN AG on 1 January 2007.
The site, which is located just a few hundred metres from the Austrian border, next to the Carrefour 'Danubia' shopping center, will be developed by REDEVCO.
"This is a prime site for large-scale retail development," says Jörg Bitzer, Managing Director of REDEVCO Central Europe in Vienna. "The location is an excellent site for further retail development, not only due to its proximity to the Danubia shopping center, but also because of the very large catchment area in southwest Bratislava."
Bitzer says that this investment demonstrates once again REDEVCO's intention to "invest primarily where people shop".
