Chris will become a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees and immediately assume the role of Senior Independent Director of the Board, a role made vacant by David Pangbourne's retirement, which was announced on June 3, 2010.

Age 52, Chris joined Hilton Group plc in 1991, becoming Managing Director of its Ladbrokes Worldwide business in 1995 and a board member of Hilton in 2000. Following the sale of the hotels division in 2006, Chris became Chief Executive of the stand alone FTSE 100 Company, Ladbrokes plc, which he led until April 2010.

He is currently Senior Non-Executive Director of FTSE 250 retailer, The GAME Group, a position he has held since 2003, and is also on the Board of the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board, which advises the Gambling Commission and the Government on policy and strategy in this field.

William Rucker, Chairman of Quintain, said: "Christopher's considerable corporate experience and detailed understanding of the retail and leisure sectors will be of great benefit to Quintain, which has extensive retail and entertainment interests at both its major regeneration schemes. I am delighted to welcome him to the Board and look forward to working with him as Quintain proceeds to deliver the milestones crucial to the fulfillment of the 2013 business plan."
