ProLogis has leased a newly developed warehouse in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom, to Cinram International, Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers of pre-recorded CDs, DVDs and other home entertainment media products.
The 22,400-m² building is located at ProLogis Park Dunstable in Bedfordshire, about 35 miles northwest of central London. Cinram will use the space to serve retail outlets throughout the country. The park, which also includes a 49,800-m² building leased last year to health and beauty retailer AS Watson, is now fully occupied.
"Our UK team continues to deliver exceptional performance in the market," said Alan Curtis, managing director and head of UK operations for ProLogis. "We're extremely pleased to be 100% leased at ProLogis Park Dunstable only six months after the park opened, and look forward to serving as Cinram's distribution facilities provider at their new location."
ProLogis Park Dunstable is located less than two miles from the M1 motorway, England's primary north-south transit corridor. The two-building park also offers close proximity to London Luton Airport and both Luton mainline train stations.
ProLogis is the United Kingdom's largest provider of industrial distribution facilities, with approximately 17.8 million ft² of industrial space owned, managed and under development, as of March 31, 2007. In addition to Cinram and AS Watson, ProLogis serves customers from a wide variety of industries across the U.K., including amazon.com, Bosch-Siemens, Honda Logistics, Pirelli, Sainsbury's and Screwfix.
