Prologis leases 20,500 m² facility to Le Roy Logistique in France (FR)

Prologis, Inc., the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, today announces it has signed a leasing agreement with Le Roy Logistique, a French logistics provider, for a 20,500 m² facility near Orléans, France.

Le Roy Logistique, an existing Prologis customer in France, will use the building to accommodate the growth of its business activity. The modern five-unit facility is built on a five hectare, rail-connected site. It benefits from a free height of 9.5 meters, 20 docking bays and a step-free ramp.

Serge Rambault, general director, Le Roy Logistique said. “We wanted to expand our logistics operation with a larger distribution facility capable of supporting our business development strategy. The Prologis building was the right choice thanks its strategic location and quality.”

The facility is located in the municipality of Ormes near Orléans (45). It benefits from excellent road transport connections, including the A10 freeway which runs between Paris and Bordeaux and the A71 freeway between Paris and Limoges.

“This transaction reflects the increase in customer demand for logistics space in France and in particular, the Orléans market,” said François Rispe, regional head Southern Europe, Prologis. “By signing this leasing agreement, Le Roy Logistique has shown their trust in us as a company, and their confidence in the quality of our product and services. We are delighted to strengthen our relationship in Ormes.”

In the first half of 2013, Prologis signed leasing agreements totalling 341,700 m² in France, including new leases amounting to 66,500 m².

Jones Lang LaSalle brokered the transaction.
