Prologis to build new Coolblue distribution center in Tilburg (NL)

Prologis, Inc., the global leader in industrial real estate, today announced plans to develop a 25,000 m² distribution facility for Coolblue at Prologis Park Tilburg. Tilburg is one of the main logistics hubs in the Netherlands, and this transaction further strengthens Prologis’ position as a leading provider of industrial real estate in the region.
Coolblue, one of the largest online retailers in the Benelux, is a current Prologis Park Tilburg customer.
“We have achieved growth figures of more than 40% in 10 consecutive quarters since we began to invest more toward our customers’ needs,” said Coolblue CEO Pieter Zwart. “Ordered today means delivered today. This new facility will help us to maintain our high level of customer service and meet rapid growth figures.”
Prologis Park Tilburg comprises 173,400 m² of logistics space, including 13.2 hectares of land with the option to add 100,000 m² for new development. Coolblue’s distribution center will be built on the first 25,000 m² of this extra space.
“We will build a distribution center for Coolblue that can be expanded in the future,” said Bram Verhoeven, senior vice president, country manager, Prologis Benelux. “Extra space for expansion means we can meet Coolblue’s ambitious growth goals. We offer many opportunities for companies who want to upgrade to a modern, large-scale distribution facility in a prime logistics hotspot in the Netherlands.”
