PointPark Properties is expanding to Zilina (SK)

PointPark Properties (P3), an international operator and developer of modern logistics parks in Europe, continues to expand its Slovak portfolio by adding a third location to its portfolio. This future development close to Zilina, near Strecno in Slovakia, is the outcome of a collaboration between P3 and Optima Consulting company.

This project referred to as 'PointPark Žilina', after PointPark Košice, is already the third location P3 Slovakia is preparing to develop. P3 thus fulfils its aim to offer European services of the highest quality in other Slovak regions. The new park spreads across an area of 90,000 m² and will offer 41,000 m² of space in the strategic industrial and transit region of Žilina alongside the planned D3 international highway, which connects Poland with Slovakia and the D1 'Bratislava – Žilina – Poprad – Košice' highway.

"The partnership with Optima Consulting has fast tracked the construction of a new park in a growing industrial region of Slovakia. The location of the new park makes it even more valuable as it will be situated directly at the crossroads of transport routes connecting the west with the east and the north with the south all in the vicinity of KIA Motors a. s. The park construction shall start at the end of 2010 or early 2011 and our goal with this project is to create a high quality platform for logistics and machine industry companies operating in Žilina and its surrounding area," comments Peter Bečár, the Managing Director of P3 in Czech and Slovak Republic.

Ian Worboys, CEO of P3, adds: "Development of the new PointPark Žilina project is an exciting challenge for us. Expanding our portfolio in this region represents a strengthening of our position in the broader Ostrava – Krakow – Katowice – Žilina international industrial region."

"The combination of P3's international experience in development and asset management of logistics parks together with our knowledge of the local environment and our clients' needs have provided a great opportunity to make full use of the environment for the benefit of an end user to whom we can provide warehouse premises of top European quality, a quality that has been lacking in this region," states Michal Kozáček, the Executive Director of Optima Consulting.
