The latest phase of the development will result in an additional 7,728 m² of high-quality retail plus new leisure space and the upgrade of the promenade leading to Pollok's Civic Realm.

Silverburn is currently Scotland's largest purpose-built shopping center with over 100 stores and restaurants. The center is on target to attract 14.5 million shoppers this year, an increase of 5% on 2009.

Now that planning approval has been granted, we can progress meaningful conversations with potential retail and leisure operators.

"Silverburn continues to attract new stores. Model Zone opened at the beginning of October and Handmade Burger is on track to launch mid-November.

Over 40% of its 2,700 staff live in the Greater Pollok area and recruitment is currently underway to appoint an additional 500 temporary staff to cover the Christmas trading period. The center also has a charity foundation, Silverburn Cares, which works with a number of local charities including Pollok Boys Football Club and Aberlour's Big Night In.
