Polaris Industries Inc. - an American manufacturer of snowmobiles, quads, motorcycles and electric NEVs, is entering Poland. Established in 1954, the company decided to locate its first European plant for off-road vehicles in Opole, within the Wałbrzych Economic Zone Invest-Park. The 33,000 m² investment will be executed by Panattoni Europe, a developer with an extensive portfolio of warehouse and manufacturing development projects, including some within economic zones. The production hall will take up an impressive 25,600 m², the warehouse 3,400 m², whereas offices and staff facilities 3,981 m². Construction works are set to commence at the beginning of August and be completed in mid-February 2014. Polaris Industries was represented in the transaction by a leading global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield.

"The Polaris Industries factory is an example of an investment that is of interest and importance not only for Panattoni Europe and the commercial property market. It is also of vital significance for Poland, especially the Opole region. The manufacturer's first European factory for off-road vehicles will be making 25 thousand quads and small all-terrain vehicles per year, to be delivered to Europe, Middle East and Russia. As many as 350 jobs will be created at the plant initially, and the number may go up in the future, which in the present economic situation is an important aspect of our activity as a developer. Polaris Industries' decision also shows that Poland is perceived as a business partner with a stable political and economic situation and a vast qualified labor pool, which is not overlooked by potential foreign investors" said Robert Dobrzycki, Managing Partner for Central and Eastern Europe, Panattoni Europe.

"This project is one of the most import projects for Polaris as it is their first off-road manufacturing facility in Europe. After a rigorous screening and selection process, Polaris finally decided that Poland and in particular, Southern Poland compliments their long term operational objectives best. This project is a great win for Poland and proves that major global producers very much see Poland as a strategic location to establish new production functions to be able to service their local and international client base" - said Tom Listowski, Partner, Head of Industrial in Poland and CEE Corporate Relations, Cushman & Wakefield.

Polaris Industries Inc.' new factory will be located within the Wałbrzych Economic Zone Invest-Park, within the bounds of Półwieś, cadastal district of Opole, at ul. Wspólna.
