Nick Cooper joins Palmer Capital as Director and Deputy Chairman (UK)
Palmer Capital, the London based real estate investment and asset management group, announces the expansion of its senior team with the appointment of property industry leader Nick Cooper as a director and Deputy Chairman with effect from 1st September 2014.
Nick joins with a remit to help oversee the growth of the business, both in supporting the nine UK property companies in which it is a shareholder and the further development of its investment relations team. He will use his global experience to support Palmer Capital’s offices in continental Europe and Asia.
Ray Palmer, chairman of Palmer Capital, says: “Palmer Capital has grown substantially over the last few years. We have completed one of the largest public to private deals in the quoted property sector, been part of the purchasing group for two of the UK's largest science parks and delivered to investors returns well above IPD. I am delighted that we have managed to persuade one of the industry’s most senior fund managers and a long standing friend of the business to join us at this exciting time.”
Nick Cooper says: “I am delighted to be joining Palmer Capital, a group I have long admired. I believe that my experience gained at the Townsend Group, one of the world’s most influential real estate advisors, together with my experience at ING, at the time the largest real estate manager in the world, will be beneficial in helping guide Palmer Capital in the provision of real estate solutions for a wide range of international investors.”
