New independent real estate investment bank launched (UK)

Maxwell James, former Global Head and Managing Director of HSBC's real estate investment banking activities, Richard Choi, former Director of the HSBC real estate investment banking group, and Julie Green, a former European Director of Jones Lang LaSalle, have established Lowndes Partners, LLP, an independent investment bank specialising in financial advisory and investment management services in real estate.

Lowndes Partners, based at 7 Savile Row, London W1S 3PE, will provide mergers and acquisitions and strategic advice, private placements, equity capital markets and investment solutions internationally.

The founding philosophy of Lowndes Partners is to bring together a group of highly experienced bankers to provide dedicated advice and senior support to its clients without conflict. Clients will include corporations, partnerships, institutions and high-net-worth individuals.

Maxwell James, Managing Partner, said: "The unprecedented weight of capital seeking exposure to the real estate sector is resulting in an increased requirement for high quality independent advice and solutions available to both companies and investors."

"As a group of senior bankers dedicated to the real estate sector, the creation of Lowndes Partners is a response to the strong demand from our clients for high quality independent advice and investment solutions."

"At this exciting and challenging time for international real estate, we look forward to working alongside our clients as they respond to the continuing globalisation of the sector. In so doing, we aim to establish Lowndes as the industry's leading independent investment bank."
